I used Lifeway to get digital access to a Bible study book, it did the job. At the same time, it felt like it took way too many clicks to actually get where I needed to go. Logging in was easy enough, but using the site on my phone felt a little clunky, even though I guess it was still manageable.
Once I finally found the material, everything loaded okay and I was able to use the book without any real issues. So in one way, I’m glad it worked, but in another way, I kept thinking the digital library should be easier to browse and organize. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t exactly call it smooth either...

"Decent, but I felt dumb for expecting more"
I’ve used LifeWay for Bible study materials, and some of it is decent. But a lot of the lessons ended up feeling way too general for what my group actually needed. I kept thinking it would go deeper, and now I kind of feel stupid for trusting it to be more solid than it was. It’s still useful here and there, but I wish there was more depth in certain places.

"Shipping cost kind of ruined it"
I was ready to check out and then saw the shipping price and just stopped for a second. It was more than the actual stuff I was buying, which feels a little crazy. The order itself was fine, not a huge purchase or anything, but then the shipping made it feel not worth it. I don’t know, maybe it depends on location, but that part definitely threw me off

After I placed my order, I barely got any Updates at all. I ended up having to chase them myself just to find out what was going on, and even then the replies were really slow. it was super frustrating and Not at all what I expected

I’ve used Lifeway a few times now, and they has a good mix of books, Bibles, study materials, and kids’ stuff. Most of the time I can find what I’m looking for without having to search forever, which I appreciate. A couple things I wanted was out of stock, so that was kind of frustrating, but overall the selection are solid and still better than a lot of other sites I’ve tried.

Not gonna lie, some of the lessons were helpful, but a lot of it felt too basic for our group. I ended up having to rewrite more than I expected to make it actually fit what we needed

"Refund process was such a hassle"
I tried to return a book and the refund took way longer than I expected. I kept reaching out to support, but they sent basically the same copy-paste reply every time, which just made it more frustrating. I get that returns can take a bit, but when no one actually explains what’s going on, it’s like... Anyway, I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again.

I’ll give it credit, the search did work well and the menus were simple enough to get around. I found my Bible study book quickly, even if a few of the filters felt a little clunky and not as smooth as I’d like.

"Wrong edition in my order"
I ordered a few books and a study guide, and one of the books showed up as the wrong edition. It wasn’t a total mess, but it definitely threw me off because I needed the exact version for our group study.

Customer service did get back to me, but it took a couple days, and the replies felt kind of copy-pasted. I had to send photos and explain the issue more than once, which got frustrating quickly.

I’ve usually had good experiences with Lifeway, so this wasn’t enough to make me stop ordering, but they really need to tighten up order accuracy and support. When you’re planning something with other people, the small details matter.

"Not really for me"
Their views just don’t really line up with my own, so I don’t feel comfortable supporting them. On top of that, the reminders felt way too aggressive, like they kept pushing even after I wasn’t interested. Just not my thing overall

"Decent site, but why is stuff always sold out??"
I’ve used Lifeway.com a few times and it’s fine overall, but the stock situation can be hit or miss. A couple things I actually wanted were either sold out or couldn’t be delivered when I checked, which was kind of annoying. Like, how am I supposed to order if half the stuff isn’t available?? The website itself works okay and I did find a few items, but I just wish they kept more products in stock. Not terrible, just average for me.

"Bulk order was mostly fine"
I ordered a bunch of study books, and overall it was okay, nothing amazing, but not bad either. The prices were reasonable, which I appreciated. Shipping updates were a bit slow though, I kept checking and didn’t see much movement for a while. One of the boxes also showed up a little beat up, but thankfully the books inside were fine. So yeah, decent experience, just a few small annoyances.

"Box showed up crushed and soggy"
My order arrived with the box all smashed up and wet on one side. A couple of the items were leaking, and the whole thing had this weird smell when I opened it. The packaging definitely didn’t hold up, but I also have no idea who’s actually responsible here — the store, the warehouse, or the shipping company. Everyone makes it feel like it’s someone else’s problem, which is really frustrating. Disappointing overall.

"Shipping delay was really frustrating"
I ordered a book expecting it to show up within a few days, but it just sat there for the longest time before it even shipped. The tracking barely updated either, so I had no idea what was going on. By the time it finally arrived, I didn’t even need it anymore. it was annoying and felt totally preventable.

Well... the checkout process was quick and simple overall. I just wish the shipping cost had shown up a little earlier instead of near the end.

"I use Lifeway often when..."
I use Lifeway often when I’m looking for Bible study ideas or something helpful for my small group. The articles and lesson previews are usually easy to read, practical, and not so long that I feel like I need to set aside a whole afternoon just to get through them.

The only thing that bugs me is that some pages feel a bit cluttered, and I sometimes end up clicking around more than I’d like before I find what I need. Even with that, I keep coming back because the content really does help me feel more prepared and encouraged, that means a lot.

"Using the website was kind of a..."
Using the website was kind of a headache. Pages were taking forever to load, and then the search results were all over the place, which made it even more annoying. And don’t even get me started on checkout, I kept thinking I was almost done, then it would send me back around to something else. I just wanted to buy the thing and move on.

"Not sure it’s worth the cost anymore"
I’ve found a few things I like on LifeWay, but lately the prices have been hard to overlook. By the time you add books and shipping, the total gets up there quickly. It’s one of those purchases where I expect to feel a little better about what I paid, and I just didn’t. I may browse again someday, but I’m not in a rush to place another order
